Description of 9-C New Road

1. A very brief description of the origins of New Road. Reference is made to the old photo, item 3

2. An early photo of New Road, looking towards the church, before any houses were built.

3. An old photo showing the road diminishing to a footpath across the fields leading to the Great North Road.

4. Two photos of New Road taken around 1920. When these are enlarged the Lych Gate is now clearly visible

5. Part of the building proposal for the erection of the seven flats at the top of New Road/Low Way, dated 1991
