Description of 8-A Wetherby Road
1. Two photos: Looking towards the village from the junction with Lyndon Avenue in 1994 and Ivy Cottage in 2000
2. Two photos taken in 1994 from midway between Lyndon Avenue and Back St. - one looking south into the village and one looking east towards the church
3. Two older photos looking towards the village from the upper part of Wetherby Road before World War I. The individuals in the upper photo are Mr. Herbert Tindall and Miss Mary Summersgill
4. Three photos taken in 2000 of the east side of Wetherby Road looking up the road from below and above the Lyndon Avenue junction.
5. & 6. A two page history of Milnthorpe Farmhouse, originally The Old Oak Inn, a coaching inn, in the early 19th or possibly late 18th century. Three photographs, probably late 20th century, are included.
7. Part of a letter written by Stan Deighton, owner of Milnthorpe Farmhouse in 2000, giving details of recent history.
8. - 12. An estate agent's sales brochure for the farmhouse when it was on sale in 1980 with full details of location, room sizes, interesting features etc.
13. A few words about the house, which used to be a police sub-station, at the top end of Wetherby Road
