Section 6 - A Bramham House

Description of 6-A Bramham House

1. & 2. A brief history of the house and its owners from initial build in 1806 until the early 20th century.

3. A photo of the staff and workmen outside the house just before World War I when Major Ingham was having alterations made, plus one taken in the early 1990s of the derelict building after it ceased to be used as a children's home.

4. A plan of the grounds of Bramham House taken form the Ordnance Survey map published in 1909.

5. A further plan of the grounds showing the position in relation to the building on the south of the village - from a surveyors document dated 1924.

6. A photo of the Ramsden family mounted on horseback outside the stable block (in the 1940s?)

7. A somewhat earlier photo of the Ramsdens on horseback, before the death of Captain Ramsden. Each member is identified by name.

8. A document detailing the conditions on which the grounds of Bramham House may be made available for building development.
