On this day - 8th November 2020 - England and much of Europe was under lockdown as a consequence of the Coronavirus epidemic that was affecting many parts of the world. Residents were required to reduce their activities and not to gather in large numbers either in or out of doors. So the decision was taken to request that people stay away from the commemoration service in the square.
A small service was held in All Saints' Church then members of the various parish organisations gathered in the square for a further service followed by the wreath laying.
