Section 36-A Robinson Family Papers

Description of 36-A The Robinson Name in Bramham

1. The Robinson name was listed on early maps and in subsequent censuses of 1803,1851 and 1881.

2. The census of 1881 notes several Robinson families scattered around Bramham, working at various trades. Of note is the fact that the village policeman is William Robinson.

3. The story of William Robinson's two daughters, who they married and their offspring.

4. The 1881 census entry showing William Robinson's family. William was aged 46 at this date.

5. Photograph showing a much older William with Arthur, Billy, Harold, Hettie (Henrietta), Ethel and Florrie - probably taken around 1900. No sign of Martha.

6. Photograph of the extended family taken at the time of the First World War.
