Description of 31-A Introduction

1. A one page summary explaining that building outside the confines of the original village was limited during the 20th century by the fact that the surrounding land was owned by large estates unwilling to sell to local authorities for development. Building that did take place was largely confined to the Council Estate where, until the 1980s, all property was rented.
