Description of 24-C The Village Population and Household Structures

1. The changes in agriculture affected the rise and fall of the population. Efficient farming and increased acreage raised population . Poor harvests, falling prices and foreign imports caused decline in population. Links to Fig 6 and Table 4

2. Unexplained question regarding the small number of males aged between 20and 24 and the large amount of females aged between 10 and 14.Overall the population was youthful-the average age being 26. Links to tables 6&7.
