Section 2 - B High Street

Description of 2-B High Street

1. Brief text indicating that most houses and farms on High Street were associated with farmland owned by Bramham Park Estate. The are colour photos of the entry to Greenhill Farm and of Prospect House (in 2001), the farmhouse of Prospect Farm.

2. Two photos looking down the north side of High St. - A summer view dated August 1994 with No.10 In the foreground extending down to the lower height cottages Nos. 1 to 4 in the background plus a snow scene dated January 1991 taken a few yards further down with part of Bramble Cottage In the foreground

3. Undated photos (c. 1990s) showing The Barn House, two views of Heygate Farm, and Laurel Farm House.

4. An architectural description of Heygate Farmhouse, which bears the date 1682 (?) over its door.

5.,6.,7.,8. Plans and elevations of Laurel Farm House, dated Nov. 1999, showing a proposed rear extension and new porch, submitted by the occupiers Michael and Wendy Sagar.

9. More views of the north side of High St. dated 2000. The first shows No.11 in the foreground and extends down to the lower height cottages Nos. 1 to 4. The second, looking up the road, shows Poppy Cottage No.6, Bramble Cottage No.7 and No.8.

10. Three photos (c.2000), two on the north side - Beech House, the former residence of the Agent of Bramham Park Estate, and Yew Tree House next door built on the site of the Estate Agent's store. On the other side of the road is a picture of Beech View.

11. Two dwellings on the south side - Manor Close (just above Laurel Farmhouse) and Mole End Cottage with the letter box in its wall

12. Photo (c. 2000) of Old Maltkiln and Maltings Cottage (formerly part of Old Maltkiln) together with an architectural description of the property.
